The department of visual arts takes students on quarterly trips to museums in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as tours of companies such as YouTube and Pinterest, field trips to historic design spots such as the Eames Ranch and M&H Type, as well as longer trips to events such as Sundance Film Festival.
Visual Arts grads have gone on to work with many prestigious companies, such as Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks Animation, Apple, Netflix, Lucasfilm, Airbnb, and Martha Stewart Living. There are also many alumni working for large ministries like 3ABN, Amazing Facts, and Maranatha Volunteers International, and, of course, Pacific Union College.
The department of visual art fosters a feeling of community that is hard to find in other places. The professors show genuine interest in your life and your work, and will go the extra mile to help you grow. All of our professors are extremely knowledgeable as well, and my classes have helped me learn key skills for my career. PUC is the obvious choice for visual arts within the Adventist school community, because of the quality of work I’ve seen from students and alumni, as well as the department's commitment to excellence. I knew I wanted to learn my design trade the right way and that’s why I chose PUC.

From February 3-4, PUC on Broadway was showcased at St. Helena High School Performing Arts Center. People braved the winter weather to watch, but the cast believed it was well worth it. PUC on Broadway is the product of people coming together to try something new. The show was a production where performers sang songs from different Broadway musicals. Where a musical has one cohesive plot–they took Broadway songs and put them out of context.
